This new school year, many returning and new students noticed the effect on campus of the Campbell government’s decision to cut funding by 7per cent for 2008-09 to post-secondary institutions.
It is not fair to students that the obscene pay hikes for top executives pushed through earlier this month by Gordon Campbell have an estimated annual cost of over $4 million, when the cuts for SFU, and UBC are $6.3 million, and $15.8 million respectively.
