- The Workers’ Advisers Office is committed to helping injured workers understand what their rights are, and to assisting those who are having problems in getting the benefits they are entitled to. The Workers’ Advisers do not work for WorkSafeBC (WSBC), and their services are free. Workers’ Advisers can help you understand WSBC policies and procedures, provide you with information about your claim and help you review or appeal a WSBC decision. In some cases, they can represent you during a review or an appeal.

- If you think a provincial government ministry or public agency has treated you unfairly, the Ombudsperson may be able to help. The Office of the Ombudsperson receives enquiries and complaints about the practices and services of public agencies within its jurisdiction. Our role is to impartially investigate these complaints to determine whether public agencies have acted fairly and reasonably, and whether their actions and decisions were consistent with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Our services are provided free of charge.

- Health Insurance BC administers the Medical Services Plan (MSP) and PharmaCare programs on behalf of the B.C. government. The Medical Services Plan (MSP) provides over 4 million British Columbians with coverage for medically required services, laboratory services and diagnostic procedures. PharmaCare subsidizes eligible prescription drugs and designated medical supplies. PharmaCare provides financial assistance to British Columbians under Fair PharmaCare and other specialty plans.

- Fraser Health’s PCQO is the central access point for complaints that are not addressed at the service delivery level. The PCQO provides a clear, consistent, timely and transparent process for patients to register complaints about the care they receive from Fraser Health.

- If you don’t feel your concerns were resolved based on the response of the Fraser Health Patient Care Quality Office, contact the Patient Care Quality Review Board for an independent assessment of the matter. The Patient Care Quality Review Board is a separate organization from Fraser Health that reports to the Minister of Health Service.

- An interpreter will call you back shortly and you will be connected with a review board officer in a three-way telephone call. This translation service is provided free of charge. Translation services are available in over 130 languages, including Farsi, Punjabi, German, Chinese (Mandarin) and French.

- Anyone, including a non-citizen, who has a concern about the conduct of an RCMP member can make a complaint. You do not have to be directly involved in the incident; you can make a complaint on behalf of someone else, or as a witness to an incident.

- BC Housing is the provincial crown agency that develops, manages, and administers a wide range of subsidized housing options. They partner with private and non-profit partners, other levels of government, health authorities, and community groups to increase affordable housing options for British Columbians in need. - The Rental Assistance Program provides eligible low-income, working families with cash assistance to help with their monthly rent payments.To qualify, families must have a gross household income of $35,000 or less, have at least one dependent child, and have been employed at some point over the last year.

- The Senior’s Supplement is a provincial monthly payment provided by the Ministry of Social Development to seniors whose total income from federal pensions or other earned income falls below a level guaranteed by the province.

- People who are receiving federal Old Age Security (OAS) and either the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) or Spouse’s Allowance; Immigrants to Canada, who would otherwise qualify for OAS, and either the GIS or Spouse’s Allowance and are only ineligible for those benefits because they have not resided in Canada for 10 years; Those ages 60-64 and receiving BC Employment and Assistance; those receiving disability assistance under BC Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities. The cost of the bus pass is $45 per calendar year or portion thereof.
